Creating a memory

Sometimes i get asked to do paintings in memory of a loved one. This particular  request was a challenge as the customer only had a few old photos of the subject (his dad). He also wanted to create a memory, he's dad was an avid poker player and taught his son (the customer) everything he knows about poker. A lot of the games were played in the family home, mainly in the kitchen where trinkets of family memories also lived. It was my job to recreate this memory in a painting... i don't have photoshop or the knowledge to use it, i just haven't had the time to teach my self. So... here's a photo of the painting with the photo i used to create the composition. x
