The weekend was topped off by the great company I had; Geoff n Richie from Atlantic motorcycles, Newquay. They really looked after me n Clara n also cook a mean breakfast! Thanks boys :-)))
I had an absolutely awesome time at Thruxton! It was a lot more than I expected. Watching the races live you can truly appreciate the sheer power of the super bikes and what it takes to be able to handle these machines, including the risk the riders take. Unfortunately, one of the riders, Lee Costello #37 came off his Kawasaki at one of the bends - although I believe the rider is fine now, when u see the rider not get up it really makes your heart stop. Hope he makes a speedy recovery. The race also included the first female rider to reach the British super bikes, Jenny Tinmouth, go on Jenny!!!! Never knew we would actually get to meet the ridesr too... I have to say all of them were absolutely lovely. Special thanks to Chris Walker and Karl Harris (my favourites) for letting my daughter sit on their ridiculously expensive bikes. Got a bit smitten by Josh Brookes... Who wouldn't??? He's got dimples, his taller than me n rides a Gsxr! Lol....

Turns out Costello cracked ribs, not pelvis which is great news - lets hope he's not out for long! :-)))
